Introduction

The South Downs TR Group (SDG) is one of many regional UK Groups of the international organisation for Triumph TR sports car enthusiasts, the TR Register, founded in 1970 to further interest in the series.

Originally established by a small group of dedicated Register members back in 1976, SDG has grown from strength to strength, providing a focus for the enthusiastic local membership. Over the years we have cultivated strong links with neighbouring Groups, and with our close proximity to the Continent,TR clubs from Europe. We play a prominent role in many other local motoring events, some of national importance, particularly the Brighton Speed Trials, where our experienced members are often called upon to marshal the event.

Committed to representing the marque -- TR2-TR8 -- in East and West Sussex, SDG has over 150 active members who enjoy

• Twice monthly club nights
• regular Sunday mid-month meetings/runs
• technical visits
• barbecues
• exhibition and show presentations
• own telephone technical advice service.

Social gatherings extend the enjoyment of TR interest and nostalgia, with our own Mastermind, TR Trivia contests, and summer concours competition. We organise sprint meetings, club runs, darts evenings, film and video shows, annual Christmas Dinner and Reunion and regularly invite fresh ideas and participation from members and guests.
