Group Leader's Message
Hello everyone.
2012 is well and truly with us, and our thoughts
now turn to making plans and finishing projects in preparation for
another year of TR activities.
As I write this message, I have just finished making the final preparations
for the Awards Lunch, and in doing so, I am reminded of how successful
South Downs Group was last year. A full and varied calendar of club
nights, runs, shows, tours and events provided many opportunities
to view, use and talk about our cherished cars.
We were joined by a number of new members, new cars and some projects
made significant progress during the year. It is well worth re-visiting
the Photobucket galleries to get a reminder of all the varied activities
we took part in. The galleries can be accessed from the home page
of the website, and you will need to input the password (Please
contact Heather for this) to gain entry. Many great memories!
As for the coming year, Hugh Adkins remains our Event co-ordinator,
and with help from the rest of the committee, will be fashioning
another busy calendar of events and providing information on a wide
range of motoring and general interest activities.
A new range of South Downs Group clothing is now available, and
is already proving a success, so you will soon see the SDG style
in evidence, and we hope you may wish to order an item or two.
Heather is again keeping the website up to date, and this is the
best source for finding out what is going on.
Our club meetings will be on the second Tuesday of every month at
The Five Bells, Chailey (throughout the year), and on the last Thursday
of each month (March to October) at The White Hart, Netherfield.
We look forward to seeing you.
The 2012 Photograph Competition is open for entries, so make sure
you take your camera out on your Travels, and upload your photos
to share with fellow members.
I am looking forward to another great classic motoring year. I hope
to see you soon.
