The venue for this is the historic
Chatham Dockyard (hard standing), and maritime heritage attractions
plus a wide assortment of cars, commercials, steam engines etc.
provide an excellent day out and a chance to shake the winter
cobwebs away. We will join up with the Kent Group so there should
be a good representation of the marque. Please contact

needs to be signed and returned quickly if we are to be included
. Vehicle pass and two entry passes are free to every
accepted entry. Sounds extremely good value! We will arrange

Mid-month Tour to Brooklands

Our Spring tour will take in
a visit to this historic motor racing circuit and museum. We
will be joining a host of other Standard and Triumph models
to enjoy the automobile and aviation attractions of the site
and to view other enthusiasts cars. Meet at Cowfold
car park at 09:00 (not the Five Bells) to travel in convoy to
the gathering. There is an entry fee payable on the
day (£7 per adult), which gains access to the many exhibits
both aviation and automobile, and there is also the historic
race track, airfield and test hill to view. Please let George

| This spectacular event is one
of our flagship shows for the year. We hope to have a strong
representation of the TR marque and an enjoyable SDG gathering.
We will meet in the lay-by on the A27 eastbound Polegate
bypass at 0845 on Sunday, and will be leaving there at 0900
sharp, to join the cavalcade to the seafront. We are
planning to provide refreshments and lunch at cost as we did
last year. We need to advise the organisers of attendees. Please

on the return steam train from Sheffield Park Station to Kingscote.
While on board we will enjoy F&C, bread and butter and

Afterwards, we can retreat to a suitable hostelry to wash
the soot and cinders away, if necessary. George needs

16.30, so the earlier the better. We understand there are no

meeting place Heathfield. If you let George know what the earliest

Car Competition of 2006. So we can have a more leisurely finale
to the competition we have arranged a club display area at Southern
Counties Vintage Show, near Edenbridge. This is a big event
with classic and vintage cars, mtorcycles, commercials, steam
engines and other attractions including a licensed bar! If
you want to be in with a chance of winning, you'll need to complete

under the Malvern Hills there is plenty to do for everyone including

nearby for those of you who aren't keen on camping, but. for
those intending to 'rough it' for a few nights, why not make
your way to the SDG campsite in the quiet zone? We will be waiting

Brighton National Speed Trials |

| A traditional motor sport event
at which SDG has provided marshalling manpower for many years.
The Brighton & Hove Motor Club Speed Trials is a major national
sprint, which puts all sorts of machinery against the clock
on a quarter mile, standing start drag along Madeira Drive,
on Brighton seafront. The mundane to the exotic, its all there.
Turn up just to watch or join in with the paddock-marshalling
melee, it’s a brilliant event for motor sport enthusiasts.

| Come and cheer on the drivers
of these brilliant old machines in their quest to get to Brighton
in one piece AND enjoy a barbecue breakfast! We meet from 8am
onwards on Staplefield Green opposite the Jolly Tanners. (Be
early otherwise all the parking will be taken. Oh, and bring
your wellies—it can be muddy! ) You supply your own breakfast
ingredients (eggs, sausages, bacon…) and we’ll bring the barbecue,
bread rolls, tea and coffee. |
