event is one of our flagship shows for the year. We hope to
have a strong representation of the TR marque and an enjoyable
SDG gathering. We will meet in the lay-by on the A27
eastbound Polegate bypass at 0845 on Sunday, and will be leaving
there at 0900 sharp, to join the cavalcade to the seafront.
We are planning to provide refreshments and lunch at

Treasure Hunt |
A
Treasure Hunt has been planned by "Barry
and Tanis" for today with a prize
for the winner Entry fee will be £1.00
per car (all profits to club funds). We will be starting
from Pevensey Castle the Hunt will be about 35miles with clues
etc. Please meet at 9.45am in the Pevensey
Castle Car Park. The easiest access point is from the A27/A259
junction, this is a roundabout at Pevensey and the Castle is
sign posted from this location.
Start time for the first car away will be 10.00.am.
Entrants will need a pen or pencil to complete the treasure
hunt competition questions.
Good luck to everybody who takes part, this event
should be great fun !!!!!! |

Situated under the Malvern Hills there is plenty
to do for everyone including autojumble, treasure hunts, runs,
and even some shopping trips for the ladies. There are plenty
of bed and breakfast hotels nearby for those of you who aren't
keen on camping, but. for those intending to 'rough
it' for a few nights, why not make your way to the
SDG campsite in the quiet zone? We will be waiting for you.

"The Best Presented Car Competition" like
last year we will be holding the event at Martin & Sue's
place [close to The Kings Head NorthChailey]. The Cost is approx.

chairs and whatever drink you need [Soft

SDG Continental Tour |
Come on
tour with us in the glorious French countryside of Lower Normandie
and the rivers Orne and Sarthe. We will be based in
the ancient city of Alencon that has a wealth
of local interest and many bars and restaurants to choose from.
We will be close to the areas known as Suisse Normandie
and the Alpes Mancelles, the forests of Perseigne
and Sille.
On the River Sarthe lies the village of San Ceneri le Gerai,
said to be the most attractive in France (we’ll see!).
The major city of Le Mans and the famous racing
circuit is about 25 miles away. Chateaux, churches
and historical buildings as well as the traditional French villages
combined with great driving roads and amazing scenery will make
this tour rewarding at every turn.

Brighton Speed Trials |
| A traditional motor
sport event at which SDG has provided marshalling manpower for
many years. The Brighton & Hove Motor Club Speed Trials
is a major national sprint, which puts all sorts of machinery
against the clock on a quarter mile, standing start drag along
Madeira Drive, on Brighton seafront. The mundane to the exotic,
its all there. Turn up just to watch or join in with the paddock-marshalling
melee, it’s a brilliant event for motor sport enthusiasts.
Hey, even enter the TR and make SDG proud! The cost to enter
the Paddock will be £10 but to watch from the Promonade
is Free .Any SDG member interested in helping please

There will be a photo stop at Battle Abbey then a run to the
White Hart at Newenden where we will board a boat for
a trip to Bodium Castle then return
to The White Hart for lunch. After lunch we
continue to a Vineyard where Glynn has arranged
a tour and wine tasting!!! Sounds like a great

There will be a "6 mile street cruise"
at 1:30pm followed by presentation of "Favourite of the
day" All types of vehicles up to 1980 plus later
exceptional vehicles are welcome. Entry forms

great London to Brighton veteran car run
passes through Staplefield (between Handcross and Haywards
Heath), the location for the SDG breakfast BBQ. (Opposite
The Jolly Tanners) Come and join us from 8:00am
to watch, and err... encourage the drivers of these brilliant
old machines on their quest to get to Brighton in one piece!
Bring your own Breakfast ingredients (eggs, bacon,sausages
etc) and we will cook it for you
