John Bancroft will lead a shortish run to the brewery in Partridge Green Brewery tour starts at 1100 and lasts for about an hour.
Cost - FREE (including beer sampled during visit)
Option - lunch afterwards (not free!!) in the Partridge pub in Partridge Green,
Which is a Dark Star hostelry and easy walking from the brewery.
Suggest those wishing to attend should let HUGH know by end of February latest and also if they want to take lunch.
John is obtaining a menu which we can circulate nearer the time to those wanting food to make their choices so we can give the pub advance warning.
Plenty of parking at the brewery and I understand they are keen to get a photo of all our cars lined up.

One of the best non competitive classic car weekends in Europe and very close to the UK. Starting with a Saturday regional tour and on Sunday drive the famous closed street parade in the historic town of Laon - open to any classic car. Book thru www.continentalcartours.co.uk

Our visit will coincide with the museums "Heavy Horse & Working Animal Festival" being held over that weekend which will include displays and demonstrations.

Shoreham Air Show
Held to support the work of the Royal Air Forces Association which provides welfare and comradeship to all members of the Royal Air Force and Royal Air Force Regiment. Shoreham is the oldest licensed airfield in the UK and has a beautiful Grade II listed art deco style Terminal Building. The five hour flying display will feature strong support from the armed forces as well as exciting aerobatic and emotive historic aircraft displays. On the ground there will be extensive static displays, arena displays, classic cars and trade stalls.

SDG are intending to be in main attendance on Sunday However, passes will permit entry to the show on both days. Special group rates are available for vehicle, driver and one passenger. This will be for up to 10 vehicles and will reserve a dedicated display area on both days of the show (note for individual entrant c/w adult passenger!). If additional spaces are required I will have to look at the most economical way of accommodating them depending on final numbers.
If you intend coming along please let me know by absolute latest and provide your make and model of vehicle, registration number, year of manufacture and which day/days you will be attending. Passes/admission will only be provided for those notified to the organisers with the correct information.

Staying for 2 nights (Friday 28th and Saturday 29th) at the
Premier Inn at Highcliffe.Cost for room only for both nights = £118 total.
Breakfast and evening meal (plus beer/wine!) available on site at extra cost as required.
There is an option for a “Meal Deal” at £22 per person to cover breakfast, evening meal and one drink although there is a more limited evening meal menu choice with this option.
Hugh has reserved 15 rooms (all en-suite) for double or single occupancy.IHugh will require full payment by end of July absolute latest and I’m afraid he will need to be strict on this otherwise he will miss the no-charge cancellation policy deadline and end up footing a rather large bill!!
On Saturday 29th we will be visiting Beaulieu (optional) where there is a large motor museum, palace house and gardens, abbey, James Bond exhibition, World Of Top Gear and Secret Army Exhibition.Hugh has arranged for us to park our cars within the grounds on their "outdoor show arena" adjacent to the motor museum and main café and at a special entry price of £12 per person (normally £19).
It will be first come, first served so please let HUGH know asap if you want to join us for this weekend (even if you can’t be 100% sure at present) so I can get an idea of numbers and assess whether HUGH will need to cancel rooms or try and get some more!!!!!!!!

London to Brighton Veteran Car Run
This year we will assemble at The Friars Oak pub/restaurant, which is on the A273 at Hassocks, just opposite the Hassocks Golf Club
We will meet up at 10.00am onwards, and the pub will have a stall outside which supplies Bacon sandwiches and hot soup, tea and coffee until opening time when , of course, beer etc is available. The pub also does a good range of reasonably priced meals. This is a popular venue for Vet car watchers, and a good range of classic cars usually make the car park interesting. A number of the vet cars also stop to refuel both cars and drivers ready for the assault on Pyecombe Hill.
